Can't tell you how disappointing it is to have waited my whole life for an opportunity to experience the World Cup in person only to have FIFA ruin it so badly. The idea that Sepp Blattter's replacement is somehow 10x worse than him is so damn depressing. Part of me hopes this world cup is an utter failure just so that Infantino loses his job
It seems like some nations will not even be able to afford to send their usual delegations of fans, so the atmosphere will definitely take a hit. Something tells me FIFA will still make their bag, and this is probably a test run for the tournament to just continue being an exercise in how much cash they can swim in. FIFA is most certainly ok with a stadium full of millionaires arriving late and leaving early, as long as they pay.
