When you talk to people about Korean food in Los Angeles, at least in quick conversations, it is hard not to hear about Beverly Soon Tofu from life long Angelenos and people that just pass through the city now and then. It seems to be the consensus when it comes to the go to bowl of sundubu-jjigae (below), the famous Korean stew made with freshly curdled soft tofu.
This was the kimchi version, filled with thinly sliced pork and made to your spice level. As always, a table full of banchan is set out before diners before the orders come.
After you come once, plan to spend a lot more evenings at Beverly Soon Tofu.
