If you are celebrating Christmas today, I hope you are enjoying yourself with delicious food and lots of love.
Some of you may have noticed this already, but I have started to populate the Substack site with old articles from eattheworldla.com. I have tried to look up the latest menus online and update pricing when I can to make sure those businesses are still up and operating if I have not stopped by for years.
Besides THE MAP, one of the most useful parts of the website was the tags, which let you narrow down results by location or search by country to find the exact cuisine you want. So far, I have moved 107 of the almost 500 articles over, in addition to the new four that have appeared here for paid subscribers. The fifth is on the way to your inbox tomorrow morning!
Filling up the Substack site with these articles will make it easier to find what you are looking for without having to constantly navigate back to the old website. Most of these will happen without notification emails, but I will pick one or two a week to rewrite for the Free Friday Favorites series.
Since these almost 500 restaurants were written on the main website, they will never be behind the paywall. My goal is not to shut out any readers who have enjoyed these recommendations over the years.
I do appreciate all of you that have selected a paid subscription though, it means the world to me. I promise to keep putting out really interesting new places and telling their stories to the best of my ability. For those of you that can afford $30/year to support my work, I will not disappoint you.
